How could we future-proof a 10-year old eCommerce app?
Having been on the market for more than 10 years, the eCommerce system of this Fortune 500 eCommerce platform struggled to handle a high volume of concurrent users accessing the website during peak events. Their check-out was too complex, especially in the eyes of millennials and Gen Z’s who don’t buy stuff but the experience. Our job was to simplify the checkout process, support a highly-trafficked application, and future-proof by continuously working on new features and experiences.
What we did
Our team provided architecture design and heavily trafficked website maintenance, as well as worked on new features development:
- Transition from an old product database to Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Architecture improvements across the site
- Implementation of various homepage and checkout features
- Improved scalability

A multiyear IT team augmentation
What started with fixing a few urgent technical challenges turned into a multi-year IT team augmentation partnership. We support the brand's product and technical teams, maintain and build out a heavily trafficked website with loads of digital content, while also making sure that the application is ADA compliant and runs beautifully across all modern browsers and mobile devices. Our work now supports 2-3 million page views per day, and up to 12 million page views / day on holidays.
